1. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Software during your subscription on the number of devices included in your plan. The Software is licensed, not sold. You may not resell, rent, circumvent (activation, plan limits) or disassemble it, except as permitted by law. Vektalo AutoSave Community is free software under the GNU GPL v3, which governs that edition; Pro and Enterprise are proprietary.
2. Account and activation
Provide accurate information and protect access to your account. The Software checks the licence with our servers at activation and periodically, so an Internet connection is needed from time to time. You can deactivate a device from the customer portal.
3. Free trial
Every user may try Enterprise features free for 7 days, once per account and device. At the end of the trial the Software reverts to the free edition unless you buy a subscription. Nothing is charged automatically.
4. Prices, payment and taxes
Prices are shown on vektalo.com in the stated currency. Payments are processed by our partner Stripe, acting as merchant of record: it collects the payment and applicable taxes and may appear on your statement as VEKTALO.COM. Stripe's terms apply to the payment. We give at least 30 days' notice of any price increase on an active subscription.
5. Renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. Cancel anytime from the customer portal; access continues until the end of the paid period. Refunds follow our refund policy (vektalo.com/en/refunds/).
6. Acceptable use
Use the Software in compliance with your CAD software licences (Autodesk Inventor, SOLIDWORKS, etc.) and the law. Vektalo is not affiliated with Autodesk or Dassault Systèmes; their trademarks belong to their owners.
7. Your data and files
Your CAD files stay on your computers and servers; our Software does not transmit them. Personal information is handled under our privacy policy (vektalo.com/en/privacy/). Backup software reduces the risk of lost work but does not replace a backup strategy; keep your own backups.
8. Intellectual property
The Software, website, VEKTALO™ trademark and logos belong to Solutions Vektalo.
9. Warranties and liability
We provide the Software diligently and fix reported defects within a reasonable time. Consumers under the Québec Consumer Protection Act keep all legal warranties under that Act. For business customers, to the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amounts paid for the Software in the 12 months before the event, and we are not liable for indirect damages (lost profits, business or data); this limit does not apply to intentional or gross fault.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend a licence for non-payment, circumvention of activation or illegal use, with notice where possible. You may close your account at any time.
11. Changes
The current version is posted on this page with its date. For active subscriptions, material changes are emailed at least 30 days in advance and you may cancel without charge.
12. Governing law
Laws of Québec and Canada. Subject to consumers' right to sue where they live, the courts of the judicial district of Longueuil have jurisdiction.
